Flackwell Heath Residents Association Annual General Meeting Finance Report for Year Ending 31st December 2022
Introduction
2022 has been a very good year compared to 2021 resulting from successful activities throughout the year. Total funds carried forward have increased by £8531 to a total of £24523. This has resulted from an improved performance in the delivery of activities during the year. The Platinum Jubilee was celebrated in June 2022 with the “Heath Fest” which was a very successful event and enjoyed by a very large number of people, the quiz night was once again a popular event and enjoyed by all and the Christmas Lights Event was well attended during the afternoon in November. The weekend market ran successfully throughout the year with a very good attendance each month.

Income
Total income for 2022 was £30150 which showed an increase of £22738 over 2021 levels, predominantly due to the contribution of the “Heath Fest” and a significant increase in donations by individuals and companies in the local area.

Grants and donations to FHRA was £9138 coming from a variety of sources which are identified in the “Notes to the Accounts”.

The Membership fees amounted to £1084 , which was slightly down on 2021 levels.

Th “Heath Fest” held in June delivered £16199, which was an excellent result.

The weekend market delivered an income of £2115 in 2022, which was an increase over 2021 levels.

The quiz night contributed £418 in 2022.

The Christmas Lights Event went well with an income of £1161.
Expenditure
The significant support costs were as follows:-

Heath Fest Costs- £14392 , rendering a surplus of £1807.

Christmas Lights Event Costs £ 1505 Costs incurred were attributed to Brass Band, Street Furnishings, K&S Signs plus miscellaneous costs incurred by committee members.

Barclays Account
All cash input from events have been paid into the Barclay’s Community Account and expenditure has generally been done using internet banking, which has speeded up the process and is more acceptable to the committee.
Conclusions
2022 has been a very successful year, where the committee have done a great job in bringing back events following a difficult year in 2021 and have launched new initiatives that have been a great success.
2022 will give FHRA the opportunity to develop other activities that will help to enhance value to the residents in Flackwell Heath.
