The trustees who are also directors of the cliarity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with the
financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 Aiigust ?025. The trustees have adopted tlie provisions of Accoiinting
and Reporting by Cliaritie5'. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accouiits in accordance
with the Financial Reporting StandaTd applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective l Jaiiuary 20191.
Objectives and activities
The Eri¢ W'right Learning Foundation was opened in ?005 as an ambitious project to provide Preston, South Ribble and the
Chorley area with a vocational centre specialising in construction and so open a construction industry career path for local
young people 14+ who would previously have considered it unfeasible.
To ensure that the opportunities provided address current educational and school requirements, the Learning Foundation
relocated its skills provision to Preston College in 2015. We now work in partnership with Preston college and other schoolsl
colleges to deliver three key objectives.
Objectiv¢ On¢ - Inspire.. Through our siafl. Careers l￿MbasSadOr programme, provide advice support and guidan¢e to leamers,
schools and parents to improve the knowledge and undcrstanding of our industry.
Objective Two
Sk'ills.. To provide skills and training lo learners from 14- years covering a wide curriculum through our
partnership with Preston College, and extended to all local colleges where we work.
Objective Three- Careers.. Progression into work and the opportllnity for the Eric Wright Grollp to support potential direct lor
indirectl employees into meaningful careers.
Publi¢ benefit
Thc Trustees confjrm that we have paid due regard to the Charity Commission Guidance on public benefit reporting in deciding
what activities the charity should undertake.
The remainder of this Annual Report explain5 the charity's WOTk during the year and how it ha5 beeii carried out for the public
benefit.
Achievements and performance
In 2025 EIVLF supported 40 burs￿1¢$ to allow stu(lents to Study at Preston Colle¥e an(1 a¢hiev¢ GC.SE and BTEC. in
Construction and the Built Environment. We have supported College staff in the delivery of their T- level prograinme.
Throughout 2025 our career ambassadors supported 70 live events in schools supporting 52,855 students. These meaningful
ennagements have enabled young people from anes 5-19 to leam about careers in construction and tlie built environment,
exploring different roles.
All teacl)ing provision 15 being provided by PTeston c.ollege as part of OUT long tern) partnering arrangement5. 76 students
attended the 14-16 progTamrn¢.
The Eric Wright Groiip supported 830 days of w'ork experience durtng the academic year givtng yoiing people a real insight
into the working environmeni. Wowex has now completed eight cohorts, resiilting into stLidenis securing roles within the
busiiiess. These courses liave eiiabled students to gain a complete insight into the operational roles within the industry, to meet
experts, form their own business and present their tender in a fonmal environnient.

As noted above the teaching provision is provided by Prestoji College. The Foundation is comjnitted to offering support for
transport for the students and eqiiipment if lleeded. This greatl}, reduces the expenditure required to be funded by the
Foundation.
The Foundatioti WOTks closely with the ETIC W'right Charitable Trust. It5 anllual budget 15 discussed with the trustee5. who have
indicated th¢ii" ￿lI11￿¥11¢S5 to support the projected level of ¢xpenditur¢.
PlaN5 for future periods
Our objective is to improve the knowledge and llnderstanding of our industry, noijust for potential learners but also for schools,
parents and care givers. Ille want to share our enthusiasm tor the industry in that it can provide an exciting and fultilling career
opportunit>, and is open to a wide spectriim of acadcmic and practical abilities.
The EWLF continues to review the options to broaden and increase its activities to achieve the maximuin positive impact.
