Constitution
The Sophie Barrlnger Trust Is constltuted by a Declaratlon of Trust dated 19 April 2005 as amended
on 03 January 2008.
Objects of the Charity
To assist in the treatment and care of persons sufferin8 from Wilms Disease and other children's
diseases and to support parents/guardians and siblings of patients suffering as a result of such illness
through the provision of financial assistance, education and practical advice and through the
provision of equipment, facilities and seryices not normally provided by the statutory authorities:
To provide funds for research into Wilms Dlsease and other rare children's cancers.
Trustees and Recruitment
Positions of Trustee5 are appointed as and when requlred at either the quarterly Trustee meetings
or at an Extraordinary Meetin8 called for such purposes. Holly Wright left the trust on 31st
December 2024. Her role is bein8 covered between the remaining Trustees without detriment to
the quorum.
Achievements and Performance
The re-branded Sophie Barringer Trust went live on 3rd March 2025.
Abbie Reilly resigned as Rainbow Retreat Manager at the end of June 2025. We made the decision to
run the bookings in-house, being looked after by Lin & Mike and have a contractor to clean the
retreat. The Rainbow Retreat is running well with our last family of this season staying at the end of
October. The Retreat will re-open in March 2025 and we already have ten families being offered a
fespite break.
Plam Brown monthly pamper evenlngs have been reSnstated thls year with professional halrdressers
and beauty theraplst5 to pamper the parents and chlldren on Piam Brown children's cancer ward.
The Trustees are stlll happy to support Beads of Courage, 8eyond the Moon holidays. photoshoots
for famllies of a chlld with a temilnal Illness and fund more research.
Fundralsin8 has been quleter thls year but we've stlll put on many successful events and have more
supporters dolng thelr own events for us, whlch has helped Immensely

Finaiicial Review
The charity is In a stable posltlon at the end of the reportlng period and has Increased its income
thanks to addltional charitable events throughout the year.
Ourturnover increased by over £2000 thls year, We have been supported by more individuals
carryin8 out sponsored events and again generously supported by the local community and
businesses.
The Retreat has once a8aln been fully utlllsed In provldSng resplte breaks and remains in good
condition. We continue to face increased maintenance costs but again these are dealt with without
needing to use reserve funds.
Owing to recovering from the previous years reduced income, we have not made substantial
donations this year and agreed to delay our support for the following until the first reporting period
of the next financlal year.,

We dld not have enough balance In the general funds to make a donation to research this year and
this will be carried over to next year for further consideration
