1: Thousands of women and children die because of poor access to healthcare
services in rural communities in Uganda. Medaid UK is providing healthcare services
and Comtnunity Ambulance Services at Alemere MediGal Aid Uganda Community
Health Centre in Amolatar District Northem Uganda and Adwir Community Health
Centre in Adwir Sub County. Alebtong district Northem Uganda. This has been
possible because of the donation we receive from OUT SUPPOrters. The ambulance
was bought last year and shipped to Uganda.
The picture below is of a girf being treated at our niedical facility. Alemere Medical Aid
Uganda Community Health Centre, Amolatsr District Northem Uganda. She was
suffering from Malaria.

2: Supporting provision of healthcare ServI￿S to children, women and the
local rural communities of Alemere and the Su￿Ound1ng villages by
building the Alemere Medical Aid Children and Maternity health centre in
Amolatar district, Northem Uganda.

3: Medaid UK Hospital Farming Project: We produced food locally from our 20 acres
Hospital Farm to feed the patients. disadvantaged children. and raise income locally
to buy fuel and maintain the rural communty ambulance and buy medicines to treat
patients. We would like to thank our supporters locally and intemationally for making
donations to SUPF)Ort this project. Your support is saving and transforming lives and
this year we plan to grow over 100 acres of rice and maize.

6: Diagnostic serlices at Alemere Medical Aid Uganda Community Health Centre
Timely and accurate diagnosis is very essential for high-quality healthcare servI￿S to
patients. Most of the hospitals in Uganda lack essential diagnostic medical equipment
and it's for this reason that we have provided Ultrasound equipment at Marjorie
Moxon Maternity Unit in AlemeTe Medical Aid Uganda Community Health Centre,
Amolatsr District Northem Uganda. The ultrasound machine supports timely
diagnosis and idents'fication of complications in pregnancy. colposcope and Gynoclar
Mobile Colposcope machines helps in cervical cancer screening and treatment.
7.. Today SQ children y￿e immunised and given mosquito nets at Alernere Medical
Aid Uganda Community Health Centre. We would like to thank our donors and
supporters for their donation. Your donation and support is saving and transforming
the lives of many children and families in the Alemere Medical Aid Uganda
Communty Health Centre Amolatar District Northem Uganda

1. There must be at least three trustees. Apart from the
first trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a
term of 5 years by a resolution of the trustees passed
at a special meeting called under clause 15 of our
trust deed. Clause 15: A special meeting may be
called at any time by the p8rson elected to chair
meeting of the trustees or by any two trustees. Not
les than four days, dear notice must be given to the
other trustees of the matters to be discussed at the
meeting. However, rf those matters indude the
appointment of a trustee or a proposal to amend any
of the trusts deed, not less than 21 days. notice must
be 9i¥en. A special meeting may be called to take
place immediately after or before an ordinary
meeting.
2. In selecting individuals for appointment as trustees,
the trustees must have regard to the skills,
knowledge and experience needed for the effects've
administration of the charity.
3. The Trustees must keep a record of the name and
address and the dates of appointment.

The Trustees OF Medaid Untted Kingdom charity present their annual report and accounts for
the year ended 31 March 2024.
PRINCIPAL ACTMTY The advancement of health and saving lives, education and training.
The prevention or relief of poverty. dimate change mitigation, hospital farming. tree planting,
feeding program disability. emergency relief. religious activities, conservation and heritage.

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
1 . Accounting Policies
1.1: The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable accounting
standards and follow the recommendations in Ststement of Recommend8d Practice: Accounting
By Charities.
1.2: Voluntary income is re￿iVed by way of donations and gifts and is induded in the Statement
of Financial Activities when re￿1Vable.
1 .3: Grants are credited to the Statement of Financial Activities on the earlier date of receipt or
when receivable, unless they relate to a specified future period, in whith case they are deferred.
1.4: Restricted funds are to be used for specified purposes as laid down by the donor.
Expenditure which meets these criteria is charged to the fund. together with a fair apportionment
of support and management and administration costs. Grants for the purchase of fixed assets
are initially charged against the fund then transferred to the fixed asset fund.
1.5: Unrestricted funds are donations and other incoming resources receivable or generated for
charitsble purposes.
1.6: Designated funds are unrestricted funds eanmarked by the Management Committee for
particular purposes.
