Frome Selwood
2021-2022 Annual Financial Report
Attached is a summary of Frome Selwood Rotary account activity for 2021 – 2022.
Background
Owing to the cost of banking with HSBC the Club considered changing to one that offered free banking. The Club decided not to make a change for the time being as it is a lengthy and timeconsuming exercise, with no guarantee that a new bank would not also impose charges. It was decided to close two of the five Rotary accounts “Foundation” and “Savings” in order to save some costs. Funds held in both accounts have been transferred into the “Charity Account” and the inspected accounts reflect this.
The following accounts have been inspected in accordance with section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1992:
-
Club Account.
-
Charity Account.
-
Kids-Out Account.

The cost of the event was £16,319 giving a loss of £239.15. Cinema tickets and ice-cream were issued to Kids-Out children early in the year at a cosy of £500. This was in lieu of last years cancelled event because of Covid. The account decreased by £776.95.
Asset Overview

Inde endent Examiner's Re ort on the Accounts Report to the trustees of Frome Selwood Rotary on the accounts for the year ending 30th June 2022. Res ective res onsibilities of trustees and examiner The Charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 and that an independent examiner is needed. It is my responsibility to: Èxamine the accounts Follow procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission and state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of inde endent examiners statement My examination was carried OLrt in accordan with General Directions given by the inarity Lommissioners. An examination includes a review Of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with the records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosure in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the eviden that would be required by an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. Inde endent examinerfs statement In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention. 1) Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that: Proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with section 41 of the act) and Accounts are prepared which agree with accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the act; or 2) To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper uriderstanding of the accounts to be reached.
