Dear Supporters,
As we reflect on the past year in our annual financial report, l am filled with immense
pride and gratitude for the remarkable joumey of Nestac charity since its inception in
2003. Initially established to assist African asylum seekers and refugees in the
borough of Rochdale, we have grown over the past 20 years to become one of the
leading African charities in the Northwest of England.
Today, Nestac stands as a beacon of cultural integration for the BAME community in
our region. Our efforts have fostered a model of unity and inclusivity that is
celebrated and emulated. We are deeply committed to investing in young people.
nurturing them to become role models and leaders within their communities. Our
initiatives create vital platfomis for women. men, and youths to voice their needs and
advocate for their rights.
We are dedicated to empowering disadvantaged wpulations by helping them
develop skills and talents. Our well-being department, recognised with prestigious
national nominations, has sustained crucial projects such as the Support Our Sister
(SOS) project and the Guardian project. These initiatives provide safe spaces and
robust support for women and families affected by female genital mutilation and
domestic abuse.
Despite the considerable challenges we faced this year, induding the intense
workload and difficulty in securing some ne￿SSary funding. our commitment to the
community remains unwavering. We have worked tirelessty to respond to the needs
of those we seNe. even when resources were limited.
l extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated stsff. funders, volunteers, partners. and
service users. Your support and collaboration have been instrumental in our success
and resilience. Together. we ￿ntinUe to make a profound impact on the lives of
many, fostering a community of hope. empowerment. and positive change.
With gratitude and best wishes.

NESTAC Status
New Step for African Community is a registered charity since 2005. Its governing
documents are its Memorandum and Articles, and it has a Management Committee
currently comprising 5 members. Members are selected as part of proceedings at
the Annual General Meeting. In order to meet the aims of the organisations, the
Management Committee has the power to employ staff, rent or buy premises. raise
funds, enter into partnerships and work with other organisations.
NESTAC went through another challenging financial year,. however, we still
managed to pursue our vision and values. delivering all our services with very little.
As a voluntary-led organisations, our volunteers have once again created the
differen￿ by hitting our set targets through the provision of all services needed by
our clients. Our volunteering scheme is still demonstrating its importance through the
excellent and helpful ServI￿S provided by a dedicated team. This gave the time to
our part-time paid staffs lo work with the management committee and look for exlra
funding. NESTAC recognises that without their support, its aims and vision would
have never been achieved.
