Activities
NESTAC works primarily but not exclusively with African Refugees, Asylum Seekers and new migrants, aiming to:i. Provide learning and skills-building, including employability skills development. ii. Promote community awareness and cultural development schemes iii. Provide emotional wellbeing through the use of culturally appropriate therapiesiv. Campaign against Gender Based Violence
Objects: A) To Advance The Education And Training Of Those Granted Refugee Status And Their Dependants In Need, Especially But Not Exclusively Women, Thereof So As To Advance Them In Life And Assist Them To Adapt Within A New Community.b) To Empower Mothers Who Have Learning Difficulties To Take Responsibility For Them And Their Children's Lives.c) To Preserve And Protect The Physical And Mental Health Of Those Granted Refugee Status And Their Dependants, By The Provision Of Health Information And Advice.d) To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation, Education And Other Leisure Time Occupation, Particularly For Persons With HIV And AIDS In The Interests Of Social Welfare And In Order To Improve Their Quality Of Life.e) To Provide Legal Advice To Refugees And Asylum Seekers From Whatever Part Of Africa, And Such Other Services As The Charity Shall From Time To Time Decide.
