**Objects:** 1.2.1  TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE ISLE OF DOGS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS AND1.2.2  TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES AND USAGES OF THE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH.

**Activities:** Island House is a community centre providing education classes for adults; youth and family support projects; health promotion activities; and opportunities for inter-faith dialogue.  Meeting rooms and offices are available for local community groups and charities that complement the work of the centre.  A chapel offers Christian worship in the tradition of the United Reformed Church.
