They consider the information<br>which follows demonstrates the benefit to the public.<br>Retrouvaille’s primary goal is to provide help for couples who live in the<br>disappointment and pain of marriage problems and ultimately to help<br>save marriages by providing advocacy, advice, information and<br>education. In addition, further education and training is provided to the<br>volunteers who run the programmes.<br>The Retrouvaille Programme consists of**Phase 1**: a residential or virtual<br>weekend of presentations by a team of couples and a priest all of whom<br>have previously completed the programme and have been guided and<br>mentored to a high standard during their preparation.<br>During the weekend aspect of the programme, the team presents<br>techniques of communication and share how they benefited from the<br>techniques and enable those participating to learn and practise the<br>techniques under the team’s guidance. After each presentation, time is<br>allocated for the couples to reflect and discuss in complete privacy.<br>The weekend**(Phase 1)**is followed by**Phase 2**: This is 12 x 2-hour<br>sessions weekly or 4 x 6-hour days. During these sessions, the<br>techniques learned on the weekend are further developed with additional<br>skills introduced to enhance previous learning. Retrouvaille is open to<br>couples from 1 - 50+ years married.<br>Atheists, agnostics and those of various religions are respected for their<br>beliefs and are welcome to attend for the benefit of their marriage. This is<br>stated on our website, brochures and other publicity.<br>Each couple is asked to make a donation to help cover the cost of the<br>programme. No couple is denied the opportunity to heal and renew their<br>marriage because they lack financial means.<br>Couples who have completed the Retrouvaille programme (**Phases 1**<br>**and 2**) and who desire further enrichment and support can join ongoing<br>monthly support evenings. These became virtual in mid-March 2020 and<br>continued twice monthly in this fiscal year.<br>All activities are undertaken by volunteers.<br>_Retrouvaille in England and Wales has set in place Policies to protect_<br>_both the beneficiaries and volunteers in accordance with Charity_<br>_Commission guidelines._|

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main** There were two virtual Retrouvaille programmes and one face-to-face **achievements of the charity** programme, ie weekend plus twelve weekly Post Sessions. The **during the year** programmes commenced in July 2023, October 2023 and February 2024. Sixty-six couples participated in the programme during this period. Virtual CORE sessions took place twice a month. 

The Coordinators, a presenting couple and one priest participated in the International Council Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa on behalf of Retrouvaille England and Wales in October 2023. Coordinators, a presenting couple, one other couple and one priest attended the European Regional Meeting on behalf of Retrouvaille England and Wales in November 2023 in Padua, Italy.

Retrouvaille has no binding reserve policy.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Retrouvaille in England and
Wales (the Trust) for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of the report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of
the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions
given by the Charity Commission under section 145(51(b) of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
Having completed my examination, I confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respett:
l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust a5 required by section 130 of
the Act; or
