The Trustees present their report and financial ststements for the year ended 31 March
2022.
Objertlves and actlvltles
The Nurserfs objective is to enhance the development arKI education of children under ststutory 5chcrf)I
age in the local and surrounding c(Hnmunity. The Nursery operates from two class rooms within Langstone
Infant Academy.
Achlevements and performan
Since opening the nursery injune 2005 the Nursery c¢Jntinues to grow and expand, and runs from two
class rooms wthin the schoot. We tske 15 hour5 funded, 30 hour5 funded as well as 2 year old funded
children. and those paying fees. We continue to provide a 'Good' setting for all the children and their
families in the local and surrounding area.
Financial revlew
In accordance with the Nurservs Policv, the Trustees have maintained the appropriate level of reserves in
its second bank acccmjnt. Thisfund ensures that the Nursery is able to meetthe costs of staff wages, rent.
service charges and associated costs for a period of three month
Statement of Trustee< responsibillties
Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which shows a
true and fair state of affairs of the charity and its financial activities for that period. In preparing those
financial statements. the Trustees are requlred to:
Select suitable accounting policies and then apply then consistently,
Make judgements and estimatss that are reasonable and prudent.
State whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have
been followed. subjert to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial ststements
Prepare the financial ststements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume
that the charity will continue in operational existence.
The Trustees are responsible for keesin8 proper aCc￿￿rting reccyds which disclose viith reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial FM)sition of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial
ststements comply wth the Charities Act 2011. They are also re5[￿S1b1e for safeguarding the assets of the
charity and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
