Friends of Bnei Akiya (Bachadl is a charitable company. limited by guarantee. Incorporated on 22
FebTuary 2(￿5 and registered as a ¢harlty with the Charity Commission on 26 May 2005. The company
ds established under a Memorandum of Associalion which established the ob￿c1S and p)W8rs of the
ch8ritable company and is governed under rts Artides of Association.
APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES
The directors of the company are also ¢harity trLfStees for the purposes of charty law. The charitable
company is managed by a board of Iruslees which is rèsponsible for setting the Strateg￿ direction of
the org8nisalion and for establishing policy. The Irustees are appointed by the board on the
recommendalK)n of other members of the board.
TRUSTEE INDUCTION AND TRAINING
All longstanding trustees are slready familiar with the yactical work of the Gharity and new trustees are
encouraged lo attend board meetings lo familiarise themselves with the charity and the coniext wthin
which it operates.

ORGANISATION STRUCTURE
As mentioned above, the charSty Is managed by a board of tnjslees.
The trustees meet on a regular basis lo deal wth special business. The Charty works closely, in a
spirit of friendship and co-operation wf(h 8nei Akiva. Ils members are rnade up of parents. former
members and well-wishers. They sUp￿t the work with fund-raising and collecting donations for capital
projects, as well as supporting Bnei Akiva with funds for ils educational work.
RELATED PARTIES
The charity has a close relationship with Bnei Akiva for whom il Sup￿￿5 financial and other support.
Bnei Akiva is the world's18rgesl religious Zionist youth organisalion, active all over the wodd. with ov
50,CKIO members.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The trustees have conducted a review of the major risks to whlch the charlty Is exposed. Where
appropriale, systems or prO￿dureS have been estsblished lo miligate the risks the charty faces.
Internal control risks are minimised by the implementslion of procedures for authorisation of al
transaclions and projects. Procedures are in place lo ensure compliance wth health and safety of
staff, volunleers. and visitors to the youth centres. These procedures are peflodiGally reviewed to
ensure that they continue lo meet the needs of the charity. The charity manages its financial fisk by
settlng a reserves policy which is regulady reviewed by trustees.
Objectlvos and activitiès
The principal objectives of the charity throughout the year have been to foster and promote education
(including educatton in the Jewish Religion) for Jewlsh youth in The United Kingdom and in Israd.
These objectives are achieved by providing support, financial and otherwise, to Bnei Akiva.
The charty also provides grants for needy individuals children lowards the ¢o$l of various Bnei Akiva
Camps. Israel trips. and other events.
The charity has y)uth cenlres in Manchester and London for th8 purposes of aGhieving these
obleclives.

Financlal review
During the year, the charity's fvnds have been applied in furtherance of its objectives and the day to
day running of the charity.
In the year to 30 September 2025, incoming resources amounted to £141,735 {2024: £417.6101 and
resources expended amounlgd to £390,34712024: £443.970).
At 30 Seplemter 2025, the charty had a total unrestricted fund balance of £1,860.503 12024..
£2,109.1151.
There have been no changes in thg accounting policies of the charlty during Ihe ye8r.
The charity wll continue to depend on donors and past and present members who have supported our
actlvitie5.
The trustees would like lo express our gratitude lo our donors, members, and volunteers who have
generously given of their time and efforl and have contributed towards the ¢hariVs actNlties and
objeclNes.
RESERVE POLICY
The trustees have rewewed the eharrtvs needs for r85erves in line with the guidance issued by the
Charity Commission and have concluded that the general reseNes arnounling to £1.860.503 (2024..
£2,109,115) are necessary to maintain thg day to day mnniro of the charity and lo ad)ieve its
objectives.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
The trustees have considered the guidance published by th8 Charity Commission and believe Ihat the
charity in carrying out its objectives, fully complies wth these requirements. In particular the work with
fund-raising and collecting donations for capital prolecls, and supporting 8nei Akiva wth funds for t
educational work and supporting jewsh youth through traditional r81igious educalw)n and social
activities automatically gives rise lo a public beneflt. Each year the trustees review the objectives aThJ
activities of the charity lo ensure Ihat they continue lo reflect these aims. In carrying out this review th8
trustees have consideTed the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefrt and in
particular ils supplementary public guidance on the advan¢gmenl of religion for the public benefit.
Plans for future periods
The Charity plans to continue the activities as outtined above.

the Charity's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('Ihe 2011 ACV). In

section 145(5)Ib) of the 2011 Act.

The charty is a public benefit entity and a private company limited by guarantee. reglstered in
England and Wales and a registered charity in England and Wales. The address of the registered

These financial statements have been prepared in ¢ompliance with FRS 102. The Financlal
Reporting Slandaré applicable In the UK and the RepuNic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance wlh the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 {Charilies

in furtherance of Ihe gener21 objectifies of the charity and which have not been deS￿r)ated for
other purposes. Reslrided funds are funds which are lo be used in accordance wth specrfic
restrielions imposed by donors or vthich have been raised by the charity for particular purposes.
The cost of raising and administering such funds is charged against the spe¢rfi¢ fund. The aim

Resources oxpended

Costs of generating funds comprise the costs associated with attracting voluntary income and the
costs of fundraising activitie5 carried out by the charity. Charitable expenditure comprises those
costs incurfed by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services for its beneficiaries. 11
includes both costs that can be allocated éirectly lo such activities and those costs of an indire¢l
nature ne¢essary to support them. Governance costs include those costs associated with
meeting the con51itulional and slalut¢Xy requirements of the charity and include the accountancy
fees and costs linked to the strategic management of the charity. All costs are allocated between
the expendiluTe categories of the SOFA on a basis designed to refiect the use of the resource.
Wh&re costs cannot be direclly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated on a
basis consistent wrth the use of the resources.
