The year ending 31st March 2022 and the month5 the￿after have been a challengin9 and drfficutt time for the Centre. By
Autumn 2021 there were warning5 of very 5ubslantyal cost Increases in food and energy prices. ￿ading to 50aring rates of Inflation.
Whilst Clarke Foley was able to Secu￿ a number of gfants and funds to sustain rts continuity. the Otnicron variant had an adverse
effect on all sour¢e$ of In¢orne. with re(luced w51tcr numbers and Increased room hi￿ ¢3ncellations because of the continued fear
of infection. Early In 2022. due to Clarke Folels Secure financial reserves, rt was fell possible 10 Ii>uk once again at internal
building works airned al ralionali%ing the cJJrrent cafelkitchen operation$.
Notwilhstsnding th8 challenggs. barrvèrs and Iimitats)ns placeil on the Clathe F¢Jley staff and volunteers. much minor
repair and maintenance work has been undertaken, all¢￿ing the Centre to continue to yraie in an extrernely challenging
financial environment The Clathe Fo￿Y is In effed the community centre of Ilkley. known. used and loved by 50 rnany local
residents, both elderly and not so ekderfy,.
The ClarfEe FO￿ Community Centre continues lo operate in four main areas."-
1 The cafe is open to all rnernber5 of Ihe ccrfnmunity. 11 is S&Hed tFy bolh ernp￿yeeS and volunteers, providing drinks
light refre$hments from Monday lo S8tur*Jay plu$ o¢¢a$K)nal Sundays.
2.The thriving Tuesday and Thursday Lunch Club5 for the over 80$. aThl a key part OF Clarke Foley week. serwng up lo 70 people
per week.

4.Rooms are rented out to many local clubs and societies on a ￿gUlar basis and are used as a venue for events and
meetings Current users include U3A. Tai Chi and Ilkley Flower Club. together with events from Ilkley Literature Festival

In accordance with the Reserves Policy adopted on 5th February 2021. the Board considers it would be prudent for
Unrestri¢ted Reserves not ¢(xnmrtted or invested In t•￿ib￿ fixed assets to be within the range of £100.0￿ to £350.000.
Thi5 range is not deerned excessive in order to alhjw the charity to continue supporting the local community.
