It is my responsibility to examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act), to follow the prOdureS laKJ down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7Xb) of the Act), and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independont My examination as carried out in accordan with General Directions given examlnerfs statsment by tr Chaiity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented wth those rerds. It also includes consideration of any unusual tlems or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequenuy I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. Independent In the course of my examination. no matter has come to my attention (8*8F examiner's statement 1. which gives me reasonable rAuse to believe that in. any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that: proper accounting records are kept (in aC(%)rdan with section 41 of the Act): and accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accountirKJ requirements of the Act; or 2. to which, in my opinion. attention should be drawn in ord&r to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. .
