**Objects:** (1)  TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE EVENTS OF THE PENINSULAR WAR PARTICULARLY BETWEEN 1811 AND 1812 AS THEY RELATE TO THE BRITISH BATTLE SITES, MILITARY HOSPITAL, MILITARY CEMETERIES AND GRAVES IN OR ADJACENT TO THE AREAS OF ELVAS, ALBUERA AND BADAJOZ.(2)  TO FACILITATE LOCAL ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE THE MAINTENANCE OF THE BRITISH CEMETERY ELVAS AND SUCH OTHER BRITISH PENINSULAR WAR CEMETERIES OR GRAVES AS MAY BE PRACTICABLE AND APPROPRIATE.

**Activities:** 1.  Fund raising for the maintenance of the cemetery and  the chapel.2.  Restoration of the Chapel. Restoration is now complete.3.  Organise an annual ceremony connected with the battle of Albuera and provide information on this battle and the operations on the Portuguese/Spanish frontier during the Peninsular War.4.  Organise fund raising events in England
