Objectives and Activities
The primary objective of the Friends of Bell Farm School is to advance the education of pupils in the school by developing effective relationships between the staff and parents and engaging in activities that provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
We typically have regular fundraisers in the year, notably, our summer fair, Santa fun run and Christmas fair, mufti days, school discos and parents quiz night.
These events and activities aim to raise money and provide a memorable experience for those who attend. We aim to provide a supportive community for all the families at Bell Farm Primary School and our local community.
We consider the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when setting our own objectives and planning our activities.
Achievements and Performance
The Friends of Bell Farm School have had a very successful year of fundraising and creating memorable experiences for our school and local families. We had a wonderful Santa Fun Run, a sport filled May Fair celebrating ‘The Olympics’, and a sold out Quiz Night.
This year we had our first Circus at Bell Farm School which was also a sell out event, and after the May Fair and Santa Fun Run & Christmas Fair, this was our third highest fundraising event and was great fun for the whole family.
Other highlights for the year were mufti days, donut sale, school discos and ice cream sales post sports day.
Since year end we have also received a match funding donation relating to the May Fair in 2024 of £4,000 from one parent showing the huge benefit that corporate match funding can have.
The Friends of Bell Farm School have been delighted to make contributions towards costs of school workshops and trips for the children of Bell Farm School, as well as paying for Christmas crackers and presents for all the children, and the purchase of new play equipment and laptops for the school.
