Charity name: The Friends of Bell Farm School

Objectives and Activities
The primary objective of the Friends of Bell Farm School is to advance the education of pupils in the school by developing effective relationships between the staff and parents and engaging in activities that provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
We typically have regular fundraisers in the year, notably, our summer fair, Santa fun run and Christmas fair, mufti days, school discos and parents quiz night.
These events and activities aim to raise money and provide a memorable experience for those who attend. We aim to provide a supportive community for all the families at Bell Farm Primary School and our local community.
We consider the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when setting our own objectives and planning our activities.
Achievements and Performance
The Friends of Bell Farm School have had a very successful year of fundraising and creating memorable experiences for our school and local families. We had a wonderful May Fair celebrating ‘The Best of British’ and the Coronation of the King, including our first, and very popular, Bell Farm Bake Off.
Another first this year was our Santa fun run which proved very popular and will certainly be back next year. After the May Fair this was our second highest fundraising event and was great fun for the whole family.
Our third successful first for this year was our Krispy Crème donut sale. This was coupled with a pyjama mufti day and brought lots of smiles to the children of Bell Farm School.
Other highlights for the year were our pub quiz for the parents and staff of the school, school discos, ice cream sales post sports day and break the rules mufti day.
We also received a match funding donation of £3000 from one parent showing the huge benefit that corporate match funding can have.
We were delighted to be able to hand over £25,000 to the school to go towards the much- anticipated MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), a facility that the Friends of Bell Farm had been fundraising for in previous years
The Friends of Bell Farm School were also able to make contributions towards costs of school workshops and trips for the children of Bell Farm School, as well as paying for Christmas crackers and presents for all the children, year 6 leavers books and trip, and the purchase of new gazebos to use for future fundraising events and for the school to use for sports days.
