Hope in the Community is a registered charity established to provide an umbrella of support for faith and voluntary sector groups who are seeking to regenerate the communities within which they serve.
Objects: (1) To Promote The Voluntary Sector For The Benefit Of The Public, In Particular (but Without Limitation) In The Counties Of Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Greater London And Such Other Parts Of The United Kingdom Or The World As The Directors May From Time To Time Think Fit. (2) For The Purposes Of The Objects, The "voluntary Sector" Is Defined As "charities And Voluntary Organisations". Charities Are Organisations, Which Are Established For Exclusively Charitable Purposes In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales. Voluntary Organisations Are Independent Organisations Which Are Established For Purposes That Add Value To The Community As A Whole, Or A Significant Section Of The Community, And Which Are Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Make A Profit For Private Distribution. Voluntary Organisations Do Not Include Local Government Or Other Statutory Organisations.
