The trustees present their report for the year ended 31st December 2024.
The following trustees either acted during the year or have been 5ub5equently appointed:

New trustees are appointed by the existing trustees and serve for an initial period of three years and thereafter for
additional years approved at a Special Meeting of the Trustees. The trust deed provides for a minimum of four
trustees, all of whom must be members of Haywards Heath Golf Club. The trustees give their time freely and no
trustee remuneration was paid in the year.
The Charitable Trust was established under a deed of trust on 10th February 2005 and is registered with the Charity
Commission, number 1108841. The charitys address Is Haywards Heath Golf Club, Hi8h Beech Lane, Lindfield,
Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 ISL.
The purpose of the HHGC Charitable Trust is to monitor and manage the fundraising and charitable giving attivities of
Hayward5 Heath Golf Club.
Objectives and artivities for the public benefit
The charity is established for general charitable purposes, providing grants to other charities at the discretion of the
trustees. The trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's general
guidance on public benefit when reviewing the trust's aims and objectives and setting the grant making policy for the
year.
Grant-making policy
The Trust's objects are to hold the trust fund and its income upon trust to be applied for the exclusive benef it of such
charitable purposes as the trustees may from time to time determine including the granting of donations to other
charitable bodies or for other charitable purposes intended to be beneficial to the community.
Activities and achievements during the period
In the year to 31st December 2024 the Charitable Trust donated a total of £42,446 to the Dame Vera Lynn Children's
Charity. The total donation comprised a direct donation from the Charitsble Trust of £36,917 together with a donation
(including Gift Aid l of £5,529 raised on the Just Giving donation platform.

Reserves pollcy
It is the policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted funds, which are free reserves of the charity, at a minlmum level
in order th3t it can donate as much of its income as possible in the year that it arises.

Responsibilities and basis of the report
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 31 December 2024.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan￿ with the requirements
of the Charities Act 20111.the Act").
I report in respect of my examinatlon of the Trusvs accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in
carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examlnerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with
the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act,. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts
Set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the
accounts Bive a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters In connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in thi5 report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

l. General Information
The charity is registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales. The address of its registered office is High
Beech Lane, Lindfield, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 ISL.
The principal activity of the charity is disclosed in the Report of the Trustees.
2. Accounting Pollcles
Basis of preparation of the financial statements
The financial statement5 of the charity have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 'Accounting
and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charitie5 preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective I
January 20151,, Section la of Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost
convention.
The charity meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. A55ets and liabilities are initially recognised at
historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy or note.
Incorne recognition
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Gifts in kind donated for distribution are included at valuation and recognised as income when they are distributed to the
projects. Gifts donated for resale are included as income when they are sold. Donated facilities are included at the value
to the charity when thi5 can be quantified and a third party is bearin8 the cost. No amounts are incl uded in the financial
statements for setvices donated by volunteers.
Expendlture recognition
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to
that expenditure, it 15 probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the
obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under
headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings
they have been allocated to attivities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Cash at bank
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institution5 repayable without penalty on notice of not
more than 24 hours.
Creditor5
Creditors are recognised when there is an obligation at the balance sheet date as a result of a past event, it 15 probable
that a transfer or economic benefit will be required in settlement. and the amount of the settlement can be estimated
reliably. Creditors are recognised at the amount the charity anticipates it will pay to settle the debt.
