number of concerts in Cambridge and the
surrounding area during the 2022-23
season, although the choir did experience
some continuing disruption from Covid-19
during the first part of the year. We
welcomed a new musical director and
recorded a new CD of Christmas music.
The Christmas family concert allows young
children and their families to experience
choral music, possibly for the first time, in
an accessible and informal way. Other
concerts this year have championed the
works of new and upcoming composers,
including the new recording which includes
the works of several young composers and
provides a means for their works to be
shared with society as a whole by making
the recording available for free on Spotify.
We also performed in an innovative
musical performance of Te Deum by John
Featherstone, which mixed classical, jazz
and gospel singers, providing an
