**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, IN PARTICULAR BY;- PROMOTING THE TEACHING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE .- PROMOTING THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE IN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROVISION OF COURSES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE.- MAINTAINING A RIGOROUS SYSTEM OF ACCREDITATION OF COURSES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE, BASED UPON INDEPENDENT INSPECTION AND CONSISTENT STANDARDS. - PROMOTING THE ACCREDITED COURSES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROVIDED BY MEMBERS OF THE CHARITY AS THE PREFERRED CHOICE OF STUDENTS.

**Activities:** English UK's charitable object is to advance the education of international students in the English language.  We do this by professional development and training for staff in the sector and agents; by working with the British Council on quality assurance and accreditation of courses; and by providing information and guidance for students, including a free complaints process.
