## **Objects** 

The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, of people living in the third world either generally or individually through the provision of grants, goods or services in particular through education. 

The relief of financial need and suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster in the form of money (or other means deemed suitable) for persons, bodies, organisations and/or countries affected 

## **Review of 2021** 

## **Income** 

Income was restricted by Covid, with two local fundraising events going ahead. These were: the Emilie’s Trousers ride which raised £14.9K after Gift Aid; and Emilie’s Interim Indoor Picnic which raised £1.23K after Gift Aid and costs. Personal donations contributed £8.26K after Gift Aid. Income was also received for Catz Events £743; Peter Burdon’s song £150; and interest £8. A full breakdown is given in the document attached.

## **Sponsorship of Beneficiaries** 

Sponsorship of beneficiaries was £26K. Five more young adults graduated in 2021 bringing the total to thirty-eight who have now graduated after sponsorship from Emilie’s Charities; over twenty are at various stages of ongoing courses. A summary of the current projects worldwide is attached

## **Money raising events in 2022** 

Money raising events planned in 2021 are: The Emilie’s Trousers ride, which is planned for February and Emilie’s Picnic, which was again cancelled in 2021 because of Covid and has been rescheduled for June 11[th] 2022. The worldwide Covid situation will be monitored before a decision on when the postponed 5K can take place. 

## **Trustees** 

Karen Murray was duly reappointed as trustee for four years in January 2022. Robert Harris will be due for reappointment in 2024. Lindsay Dolphin was a trustee until her death on 4[th] August 2021 

## **Policy on Reserves** 

Residual money is in a bank account to earn interest until required for projects
