If there is one good thlng that has come out of the Covld pandemlc It bs the Introdudlon of Zoom enablln8 US to hold meetln8s on a regular basls where the attendees are spread attoss the country. Flnan¢lal hlthlllhts As In prevlous years we started out In the expeclatlon th our Income would not cover all our costs and that we would have to call on reserves to meet the dlfference. In practice the shortfall was met by le8ades and Improvements In the value of our Investmen¢ portfollo nelther of which can be guaranteed In future years. We dld however have the comfort of knowln8 we could call on the funds held by the wealthSer brand￿ whlth they have generous￿ agreed Could be shared lo asslst Central Offlce expendlture and to support the less well-off branches. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the branthes and thelr officers for thelr support whith allows us to bu(et for projects Into the futu￿. M•mb•r$ l am pleased to be able to report that the number of rnembers has started to rise which I hope is an indication that those members who dropped out when an annual lee was introduced can now see that the tnr5tees have been maklng malor change5 to the FellDwshlp and that we a￿ now on tsrBet io be financialty secure for a nurnber of years into the future. As we have now wlthdrawn the annual fee and only ask for a voluntary contribution from ihose that can afford IL I have been asked why we Continue to try to recruit more members.
