We have provided advocacy across the whole arca of Hampshire working in partnership with Choices Advocacy
(based in Souiliamplonp. aiid until Seplember with Havant & East Hanis Mind as well as providing support and
siipervision for Iheir advocal¢.
We continue lo co-ordiAale the county wide delivery of the Stalulory Advo¢a¢y Relevant Person's RepresenlAtive
(RPR) servi¢e for people placed 'oui of area. in Hampshire. funded by individual spot purchase commissions from
local authorities.

stories.

support with payroll. migration lo a new accounts package, and with marketing and content ¢reation.
We continued our siraiegic work as menibers of Hampshire Safeguardin8 Adulis Board, and parti¢ipalion in local

The charily is governed by a Consiilution based on ihe Charity Commission model and is a Regislered Charily.
Having previously idertiified ihe benefits of a Charitable Incorporated Organisalion. the Tru51ees continue lo work
towards this in order lo update Ihe goveming docunient to Teflecl clianges lo both ihe organisalion and b¢n¢fi¢iari¢5.
Th¢ Trustee Policy states that we should have representatives of named self advocacy groups. Trustees are elected ai
the Annual General Meeting or appoinled irj between limes by Ihe Board. all rec¢ive trainin8 to do their Tole and
those who ar¢ users of the setviee also have support from an advocaie.
The Trustees hgéve met four linies during the year in addilion lo ihe Annual General Meeling. Two new tru51e¢s were
appointed in Sepiember 2023 with one taking on Ihe fole of inierim cliair unlil h¢ rcsign¢d in January 2024. Two
longslanding Trnsiees (Carole Over artd Derek Easion) resigned in November 2023 and were thanked for their many
years of setvice. One of Ihe other new appointmenls. lain Speed, look over as chair of Tru51e¢s in F¢bruary 2024.
The Trusiees have worked with Ihe Chiel Execulive on updating Ilie charily's devclopmcnl and marketing plan as
well as updating key organisational policies and processes.
