Objectives of Charity. 1)the objective of the charity is the provision and maintenance of the community hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: a) meetings, lectures and classes and b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants. Activities undertaken to further charitable purposes for the public benefit. Church Services, Lunch Club, Work on funding for Men’s Institute. Painting of main Hall, Meeting of Social Committee, Meeting of Building Committee, Pointing of back wall of main building, Letting of Hall for Children’s Birthday Parties and family celebrations including weddings, Remembrance Service, Community Carol Service with buffet lunch, 100 Club. Achievements and performance. Setting up of Funding Committee to find grants for Institute in order to create a Café/Bar in the building. Launch Of Cowpe Community Hall website. www.cowpecommunityhall.co.uk Logo for building. Fantastic Social events for enjoyment and to develop community cohesion. Events organised : Quiz Night, Easter Egg Hunt, Family Nights Take Away Tea and Games, Queens Jubilee Fair and Duck Race, Scarecrow Festival and Summer Fayre, Bonkers Bingo, Children’s Christmas Party. Events Organised so far for 2023: Soul Revolution Group Night, Easter Egg Hunt, King’s Coronation Picnic on the park and Children’s Games, Scarecrow Festival, Barbecue, Bonkers Bingo, Hallowe’en Party, Christmas Party, Carol service and Jacob’s Join Lunch. Just had a Mum who has volunteered to run the Parent and Toddlers Group so can we all promote this and get behind her to help in any way we can. The children of Cowpe are the future of this Hall.
