Raising funds for CWET from grants,
fund raising initiatives and individual
donations (ad hoc, repeat, Direct Debits
etc).

Raising £75,171 in donated funds (both
restricted and unrestricted) for support
of CWET’s work in Zambia. This
represented 19% of the total income of
CWET that year and was a significant
contribution to the operational and
administrative running costs of the
organisation.

Administering and collecting Gift Aid on
appropriate donations

Networking and promoting the charity
and the work of its beneficiary charity in
Zambia among the general public

Regularly liaising with the CEO and
with the Founding Director of CWET.
Assessing CWET monthly management
reports to ensure Chipembele Trust’s
objectives remain up-to-date and
relevant.

Supporting CWET in its achievement as
the leading conservation education
NGO in Zambia and in particular its
support of vulnerable Zambian youth in
their education

2 of the Trustees visited CWET in
September 2024 (another of the
Trustees is the Founding Director and
is based there all year round). They
visited the projects and met the CEO
and other staff to have a clear
understanding of where the money they
had raised as a UK charity was being
spent
Chipembele Trust’s support of CWET in
2024 helped the organisation to provide an
extensive and successful conservation
education programme in 29 Government
schools and hundreds of local community
groups. It also helped provide sponsorship
for 40 school students and 18 university
