The financial statements have been preparfyl in accordance with the accounting policies set out on pages
I l and 12 and conply with the requirements of the Companies Acts and the Charities SORP 2015.
ONSTITLrrtON
The Charitable Company is govemed by Amemded Memorandum and Articles of Association dated 16th
July 2013.
The Charity's obje¢ts are:
(a) to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the stateM￿t of Faith in suth parts of the
United Kingdom or the world ￿ the trustee5 may frorn tirne to time think fit and other such
purposes which are exclusively ch8ritable ao>)rdin8 to the law of England and Wales and are
connected with the charilable work of the Charity"
(b) to provide or assist in the provision of f￿llItieS in the intere&s of social wclfaTe or recreation
or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of
their age, rac< infirniity or disability, financial hardship or social circumsLgnces with the
object of improving their conditions of life.

The trustees are responsible for the management and administration of th¢ Charity as required by The
Articles of Association, Charity and Company law. They ensure this is in agreement and harniony with
the Charity's ststed vision and values.
The trustees generally meet quarterly and at any extraordinary tirne as required. They strive for
unanimous de¢ision$ through open discussion. preferring to find agreement than settle for the consensus
of opinion. The trustees give responsibility to the Secretary and the Accounts Manager. workin8 closely
with the Chairperson, for the day to day running of the ¢harity (in a¢Lx)rdance with the Financial Controls
Policy). The trustees publish frequent finance upjates to keep manbers infornied about savings, income
and how money is used.
Existin8 trustees are authorised to appoint new trustees. In selecting new trustees they have re8ard to the
skills, knowledge and eX￿￿en¢t Tequired for the Charity's effective administration. New trustees are
offered training from an external professional OTganisation and serve a Per1￿j of induction which includes
observing trustee meetings.

For many years we have been following the vision to see 'every man complets in Christ,.
By this we Mean: developing our character. defining our gifts and using them for the benefit
of others.
REVTEW OF ACTIVITIES
MISSION
The Well of Life seeks to serve our ¢iJmmunities and present a way of living in line with the teaching of
Jesus. to answer people's questions with regard to faith. and to meet the needs of people in line with the
Way of Jesu&
The tru5tecs confirn] that they have ￿mplied with the duty in S&#ion 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have
du¢ regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission in deterniinin8 the activities
undertaken by the charity.
The following activities are those eSp￿181]Y run fr>r the Public Benefit:
Practical Help in the Community includin8 the provisi(yn of foo4 clothing, household goods for
families and individuals in need
We support and encourage our members to Work as volunteers alongside others involved in our
comrnunities e.g.:
People Care in the Community meeting people on a regular bosis where they are and helpin8
lo bring order to some of the chaos in their lives.
Members have LX)ntinueAI to meet with a number of people who are marginaiised and lonely,
providin8 them with companionship, encouragement and practical supporL
Members have continued to WO￿ with other 8TOUPS and Rushmoor Borough Council to
operate a Food Hub to help those in food poverty.

RCHES
The CentraI Church is made up of two hubs ¢UTrently one in Aldershot and one in Farnborough. There
is also one netWOTk thU￿h govemed by the charity: The Kings Churth Godalming.
FINANCIAL REVIEW AND RESERVES POLICY
The Charity is primarily fiinded by individual givin& much of which qualifies for Gift Aid tax knefits
in the Charity'5 hands. No fund raising activities. grants or i)ther sources of fvndraising related income
were sought or received.
There was a deficit of£38,102 (2024 deficit of £21.614). which was met from existing unrestricted funds.
Trustees and staff have continually reviewed and adjusted controllable expendittwe.
We acknowledge our dependency on God for all our financial requirements. We find no merit in storing
wealth. unle&s earn)arked for anticipated firture projec￿ The reserves policy is reviewed by the tn￿t￿5

annually and the current reserves level is set at £20,0(K). At the year-end there are no net current
unrestricted assrts. The reserves level has been monit¢Thl ¢los¢ly through financial year 202412025.

RISK NIANAGEME
The trustee5 have established policies and proced4wes to enable them to asscss the major risks faced by
the Charity and to tske mitigating action where appropriate. This is reviewed annually.
TRUSTEE RESPONSIBtLTfiES
Th¢ trustees are required under charity law to prepare finan¢ial statements for each financial year which
give a true and fair view of the financial a¢tiviti¢s of the charity during the yw and of its financial
position at the end of the year. In preparing those financial statement& the trust¢¢s are required to.

We remain as a group of people from the Surrey and Hampshire area who follow the way of Jesus in
our day-toty lives, in our communities and through the vaTiOUS projects we support across the World.
Within the Cenlrnl Chur¢h we nornmlly meet regularty in hubs for w(thip, prnyer and teaching. We
also meet in groups that in a variety of ways s¢ek to make new contact& to meet their ne&ls and to
introduce them to Jesus.

The tnlstees would like to thank the employee5 and volunteers for the considuable time and effort that

The ¢harity's trustees are resp)nsible for the prepar*ion of the accounts. The clmity's truskes
consider that an audit is not required for the year under sedion 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the
Charities Act) and that an independent examination is nccded. It is my resp)nsibility to:

to follow the pr(thlures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission
(under section 145(5Xb) of the Charities A¢L and
to state whether particular matters have corne to my attention.

My examination was Ca￿led out in accordancx with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the a(wunting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presentsj with these records. It also includes considerdtion of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations frorn the trustees concerning such
matters. The prcaures undertaken do not provide all the evidenL% th&t would be required for an audil

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, except for
investments which are included at market value and the revaluation of certain fixed &ssets and in

requirements of the Charity. such as prq)aring and auditing statutory acwunts as well as the
costs of strategic planning for the future.
Costs incurred on charitable a¢tivities comprise those o)sts incurred by the clwity in comptying
with its objectives and include the activitias sd out under Nrte 3.
Rentsls applicable to opernting leases on leasehold property where substantially all the benefits
and risks of ownership remain with the lessor are charged to the Ststement of Financial
Activities on a straight line basis over th¢ tenn of the lease.
g) Volunteers
The value of services provided by volunteers is not included in these financial statements.
The Well of Life by virtue of its clwitable ststus is exempt from Corwration Tax on any sury)lus
of income over expenditure.
Monetsry &ssets and liabilities in foreign currencies aTe translated into sterling at the rates of
exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into
sterling at the rnte ruling on the date of the transaction. Exchange differences are taken into
account in aTTiving at the operating profiL
