In addition, the Board or nominated Trustees take part in annual strategv reviews, the preparation of business plans, risk analysis, the annual report and audited financial statements and in any ad hoc reviews which arise during the year. There are four committees to assist the main Trustee board in managing the organisation. These are the Finance, Governance and Risk Committee, the Development, Fundraising and partnerships Committee, the Communication, PR and Marketing Committee and the Collections, Learning and Engagement Committee. Each committee is made up of selected Trustees, other specialists and a member of the management team. The day-to-day management responsibility is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Jonathan Murden reports to the Board of Trustees formally at quarterly Board meetings. If between meetings he wishes to discuss, inform or advise the Board on issues of particular significance he will do so via the Chairman or nominated alternatives. Clear authorisation procedures are in place and are regularly reviewed. The procedures set out the circumstances in which the Chief Executive Officer must seek Board approval before committing National Motor Museum Trust. Public Benefit The Trustees confirm that in setting the Charitws objectives and planning its activities they have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benef it and consider each year how it meets the public benefit objectives outlined in Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006. Trustees. responsibilitiesstatement The trustees {who are also directors of The National Motor Museum Trust Limited for the purposes of company lawl are responsible for preparing the trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards {United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under company law, the trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and the group and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charitable group for that period.
