word-of-moyth reputatiorL The Pre-sthool is listed by Kent County Council, the Natlonal Child Birth
Trust INcn and the local I￿1 rary. The IDcal Primary School atso 5i8n-posts new parents wSth
appropriatety aged children to Happy Face5. In ad4idon. ¢hlldren are referred to Happy Faces fr(*n
Speclal Educational Need5 Service and the lo￿1 thildren's centre.
An average Df 7 mpmbers of staff were employed at Happy Faces during thè year. In addition, as part of
H2ppy Faces, connection with the local cornmunity, work experience placements are offered to students
from Trlorth Kent College.

Happy Faces sets fees at a level to ensure the flnaridal vlablllty of the P￿sChool and In line wlth the
early years funding provided by Kent County Councll. The Pre school offers wrap around care betW￿n
the hour5 of 08.30 and 16.00, should parents and Care￿ wish tc take advantage of thls, thereby
facllltatlnB parerrt< retum to work. Happy Fates offern payment plans and flextble methols of payment
to all parents who may be experlendt)g difficulty In meeting their fees obllgation.
The Happy Faces Board seeks to raise funds for the pre4chool throughDllt the year. Prlmarlly thts Is
done throu4h three annual fundraising events: Eastor. summer and Christmas raffle5. However, the

Plans forthe future
Happy Face5 will continue to seek to thprove the qualty of the care it provldes. Staff wlll work to
maintain their awareness of the latest development5 in nursery and pre-school ￿re and child
devèlopment and will contlnue to assess well-being ar￿ involvement to ensure each child is actively
developed and encouraged to meet its full potentlal.
The Cornmittee will continue to fundraise in the comin8 year, both for Happy Faces and for the wider
community. The Q)mm￿tee will also strive to encourage more parents and carers to join ￿ body.
We l¢st I member of staff at the end of Term 6 (July 2D251. who has not been replaced. We will
rontinue to not employ any morè staff unless we absolutely need to in order to meet our ratlo
requlrements. Our part tlme staff are also wllling to be flexible In adding extra 5e5sions on a temporary
basis. On this basis we hope to minimise the likelihood of furtherftnancial losses for the charity-
