In 2011 the aims were changed to promote social inclusion for the public beneh't by preventin8 people from Rossendale, and its environs, from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society. With immense work from staff and a handful of volunteers we maintained and enhanced the site, kept plants alive and even grew our stock. This year the messages have not been quite so clear- open the doors a little bit, close the door and open a window, peep round the corner of a building while holding the door closed but ready to open it; open the door if you have a plan.

The Bacup Consortium Trust (a company limited by guarantee and registered charity) Company registration number 05097958 Directors, Report and Accounts for the Year Ended 31 March 2021 As a charity we created a plan and stuck to it. We safely reopened our doors and have maintained that safety for our Stubby family throughout. The site has ontinued to evolve and develop and amazing advances have been made in a year which makes that last look uncomplicated. Business has grown exponentially in some areas but covid and it's constraints have hit some areas of our actual and projected income hard. Once again we meet adversity with creativity and hard work. l am incredibly proud of our staff and volunteers who have rallied round the site and each other as our participant, volunteer and student base has continued to grow. Throughout the last year the need for the everything we do has grown in a near unquantiliable way and in the coming year we will have to continue to evolve to meet the needs of our Stubby family and the wider society. We are once again entering uncertain times, in 2020 we had no practiced resource to deal with situation we faced, no armament, nothing. We are now entering 2022 with something - rehearsed, armed and with resource, we achieved the impossible with nothing, and I have no doubt that we can achieve the miraculous something.
