The directors are made aware of their ￿$￿)nSibIlity.es by being circulated wth documentation

Related p•rtlas
In so far a$ it is related to the chaWs objects, the chanty is gu￿ed by t*Jth local and national
policy and in particular takes guidance and advice from NTET. No Director has any financial
interest in this OTganisation.
Obl•¢ts and actlvltles
The company's objects and principal activitss are to advance the educab'on of the public by
Increasin9 kn￿edge of and interest in historical mechanically propelled vehicles including Ibul
without prejudi¢e to the generality of the foregoing) Iracts'on engine. steamrollers and other steam
vehicles., other historic machinery including fair organs, fairground and showman's equipment and
agricultural machinery and equipment, historic crafts and Craftsmanship.
The method used to achieve the charitys objectives is to organise events vthere large variety of
exhibits, working displays and examples are gathered together. The public is invited lo attend
these events where they Can see the machinery and equipment in action, talk, discuss and
rec8iv8 information on not only how they owrale but also the social history sufrounding them.
A¢hlevom¢nts and p¢rforni•n¢¢
The 2025 Show, had mixed weather on both days. Although il was mainty dry. some show8rs
occurred, but nevertheless the attendance hekl up reasonably well, loading to a successfvl event and
good results for the year under review.
The ethos of providing different types of visitor attractions was continued, as well as making more
use of the exhibits already on site. The steam engines were heavily involved with the public in popular
events, such as the public steenng competrtion. In ad￿ll￿n, planned tractor demonstrab'ons and other
exhibits along with various educats'onal beneffts, giving a slightty new and improved feel to the
weekend.
Once again, we held an e￿￿GaI￿n day for children from local schools This, as in past years had WKle
appeal and il is planned lo conts'nue this a$ a pemianenl part of the show. It ￿allY goes without
Saying that we also plan to continue expanding the type of attrath'ons and provide an ever greater
variety ol working displays for the public edUCat￿n and enjoyment- as an example, 2025 saw the
continu8tion of the steam car section. which wll become a pem)anent part of the Show.
Obtaining sponsorship remains a very difficu￿ lask with all of the economic pressures currenuy being
felt by individuals and companies. The Show would really gain from in¢rea5ed sponsorship, enabling
an increase in the educational exhibits to be invrted to attend providing further demonstrations for
greater public benefft.

HENHAM STEAM RALLY LIMrrED
Dlrectors. report for the year Mded 31 December 202S
Publ1¢ benefft
The di￿lOr$ are confident that the Show w¢ll be perfomiing a useful fijnction in raising public
aWa￿nesS of our rnechanical hentage in agriculture and transFQrt. Visitor numbers when weather
permit$, as well as the posrtive feedback. continue to support this view.
Flnanclal r•vlew
The ¢harity is entirely self sufficient, receiving no grants or other financial assistan￿. However, it
is extremely gralelul for the huge amount of volunteer workers - wrthout wh￿h rt would be difficult
to achieve the requir8d results.
InvMtm•nt pollcy
Under the Memorandum and Articles ol Assocbats'on, the charity has the power to invest in any way
the di￿tOrS wish.
Aside from taking a prudent amount lo reserves, the ¢hartys funds are spent in the short temi so
the￿ are no funds available for long temi investment.
The directors having regard to the liquidity requirements of operating the charity and the ￿serveS
policy have operated a strategy of keeping available funds in an interest bearing deposit account
and seeks to maximise the interesl received Because of the actual amounts ￿ta1fted in the cash
reserves, the interest received remains at a low level. Given the existsng pOI￿leS, this situats.on is
likely lo remain.
RMerve• polley
The directors have examined the charty's requirements for reseNe$ in the light of the risks to the
organisation. The reserves are needed to meet the working capitsl requirements of the charity and
the directors are confident that at the present ￿Ve1 they V￿ul￿ be able to continue the current
activities of the charity.
The amount of the reserve is calculated at a level which will fund the following year in the event of
disaster which would prevent the Show going ahead al very short noti￿.
This policy is rev*wed on an annual basis.
Pl•n8 for future perlods
The directors and trustees conts'nue to work hard to provide an entertaining and educabonal sh¢)w whilst
bearing in mind the needs of the public and the demonstrations of th8 large number of exhibits on display.
New challenges are facing the directors every year and whitst some new volunteers have been found to
cover the immediate period of the show, with the increased age of the post holders of signifi¢ant roles.
there is a continued search for volunteers to cover their all year round work.
2026 will be the fiftieth year of the Show and there are plan$ to celebrate this milestone with some new
and special attractions.
