The PTFA<br>provides a gateway to welcome and support<br>the active G&L community, maintaining open<br>lines of communication and strengthening<br>the school home bond.<br>The main fundraising activities this year<br>were our annual Quiz night, Summer Garden<br>party and second-hand uniform sales. The<br>net proceeds from these events were used<br>to purchase goods requested by the school<br>for the benefit of the students.<br>We also held our Christmas Bazaar, which in<br>addition to students, parents and staff was<br>open to the local community. The money<br>raised from this event was donated to the<br>students’ chosen charities.<br>The Summer Garden Party was held at the|





end of the summer term and was open to not only parents and staff, but the incoming year 7 students and their parents as well. Together, these events raised charitable funds and importantly helped foster a strong school community. |Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The primary objective of our charity is to<br>bring together the school community to<br>create a sense of connection and<br>engagement.<br>The foundation of this community starts with<br>our class reps who from the very start of<br>year 7, work to engage parents through<br>coffee mornings, drinks and active whats<br>app groups. Led by their respective year<br>reps they also recruit parent volunteers to<br>help deliver the PTFA’s three all school<br>events – the Autumn Quiz, Christmas<br>Bazaar and Summer Garden Party.<br>Second-hand uniform sales continued to be<br>very popular, raising money and providing<br>an important service to the school<br>community.<br>The Christmas Bazaar not only brought the<br>wider community together but raised a<br>significant amount of money for the girls<br>chosen charities.<br>The PTFA made a significant contribution<br>towards the schools ‘Challenge your Limits ‘<br>programme and funded bids from a number<br>of school departments for discretionary<br>products and services.|
