Summary of the purpose of the charity
The LRYSA is a fully inclusive Charity run entirely by Volunteers with an aim to make dinghy sailing & watersports accessible to the whole community, regardless of their mental or physical abilities, age or financial / social background.
COVID-19 Disruption
Covid-19 brought challenges to the association with the National Lockdown and being on the edge of Leicester which was in continued lockdown for an additional period. The number of students attending regular sessions were very limited due to social distancing and most of normal adhoc courses were cancelled.

LRYSA is an accredited RYA Training Centre and Sailability Centre that provides dinghy sailing tuition for all ages from 8 to 80+. Activities were limited in 2020 due to Covid-19.

I certify that I have examined the financial statement, books of account and supporting records of the Leicestershire & Rutland Youth Sailing Association Account for the accounting year ended 31[st] December 2020.
A process change has been agreed with the Treasurer regarding how reimbursements to her local account (by herself) in respect of expenditure incurred can be better evidenced as having been independently authorised by another trustee, i.e. to demonstrate a clear division of duties.
Otherwise, the accounts and supporting records are maintained to a very high standard and I hereby certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief, the accounts are in accordance with the books, records, information and explanations supplied to me, and give a true and fair view of the Account’s activities during the accounting year.
