Governing Document
Living Hope Church (Kemi Ilori Ministries) Limited is a company limited by guarantee governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association dated 31[st] March 2004. It is registered as a charity with the Charity Commission. Anyone over the age of 18 can become a member of the Company.
Organisation
The Trustees administer the charity.
Objectives and activities
The object of the charity is:
- To promote the Christian faith based on the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through Churches and non-Church organisations, through the media, community and cultural events and missionary activities.
The main goals for the year were:

Establish new branches of Living Hope Church in Nigeria.

Establish Living Hope Church in Orlando, Florida.

Review the constitution of Living Hope Church in view of the expanding work in Africa and the United States of America.

Train and commission new leaders in Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Organise events and meetings focused on Christian worship, teaching and education.

- Offer moral, ethical, material, technical and professional support for Church members and groups to promote the mission and vision of Living Hope Church.
How we accomplished the goals

We worked on our governance documents, specifically, our church constitution and our strategic and operational framework, Our Faith, Our Life .

We reviewed our five-year developmental plan, responding to the impact of Covid-19 and stabilising the changes and measures we took to safeguard our vision and mission.

We trained and ordained 12 new pastors and 8 new ministers for our churches in Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

We supported our branches in Nigeria to acquire new worship premises.

We strengthened our church networks through regular virtual church services on Zoom.

We strengthened the ease and security of our online store and Paypal centre.

We improved interactive engagement with our online visitors on our corporate website.

We supported our church in Uganda by investing in the construction of a new auditorium.

We successfully carried out all our 2020 schedule of events and meetings focused on Christian worship, teaching and education.

We offered moral, ethical, material, technical and professional support for Church members and groups to promote the Christian faith, where applicable .

Financial Review
The Charity is reliant on the voluntary donations of Church members and the public.
Investment powers and policy
Under the Memorandum and Articles of Association, the charity has the power to invest in any way the Trustees wish. We invested in a new church auditorium for our church in Kampala, Uganda.
Reflections and Plans for future periods
Our five-year developmental plan is focused on acquiring land and developing a mission centre in Leeds by 2025. We have reviewed our target dates for opening new branches in the US (2023) and Canada in 2024.

Trustees’ responsibilities in relation to the financial statements
Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements that give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of the financial year and of its surplus or deficit for the financial year.
In accordance with company law, as the company’s directors, we certify that as the directors of the company we have taken all the steps that we ought to have taken in order to give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of the financial year and of its surplus or deficit for the financial year.
We confirm that:
(a) For the year ended 31st December 2021, the Charity was entitled to exemption under section 477(2) of the Companies Act 2006.
(b) The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006;
(c) The Trustees acknowledge their responsibility for:
i. Ensuring the company keeps accounting records which comply with section 386; and
ii. Preparing accounts which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of the financial year, and of its profit or loss for the financial year, in accordance with the requirements of section 393, and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act relating to accounts, so far as applicable to the company.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to small companies regime.
