1.To promote, maintain, improve and advance education by the
encouragement of the art and science of music and in particular (but
without prejudice to the generality of the above) to award an annual
music prize to the best music student in the faculty of music in the
university of Cambridge ('the faculty,), such student to be selected by the
faculty, to be called 'The Nigel Brown Music Prize,.
2. In furtherance of the above, but not further or otherwise, to present,
promote, organise, provide, manage, produ￿ and support such concerts, I
musical ple￿s, lectures and musical entertainments and exhibitions as
are conducive to the promotion, maintenan￿, improvement and
advancement of education by the encouragement of music and to
formulate, prepare and establish schemes thereof.
3. To or for the benefit of such exclusively charitable objects and
purposes as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit.

Although it has not been possible to award an annual music prize for
several years, plans are Unde￿aY to reinstate this, to be called 'The
Stradivari Trust Music Prize,.
The trust continues to facilitate the purchase of high-end musical
instruments on behalf of the musicians and administers the management
of the musician buying out the schemes over a number of years.
For the last couple of years, the Trustees have had to streamline the
running of the charity after the passing of the trusts main donor which has
been all encompassing. The Trustees are confident that the charity will
continue thanks to the generosity of new donors and the natural sales
and musician purchases of schemes.
