The principal accounting policies 8pplied in the preparabon ol these financial statements are set out
below. These policies have been consistently applied lo all the years presented, unless otherwise
stated.
l. Accounting Policle8
Basis of preparatlon
The financial ¥talements of the charitable company. which 1$ a public benefit ents.ty under FRS 102,
have been prepared in accordance wth the Charities SORP {FRS 1021 'Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their a¢¢ounls in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 (effective 1 January 20151,, Financial Repoth'ng Standard 102 'The Financial Repo￿.Thg Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Companies Act 2006. Th8 financial slalements
have been prepareil under the hlslorical Go8t convention.
Golng concern
The Iruslees have reviewed the charity's ability to meet its financial obligalicfis and note the charity to
be a going concern. A¢Gordingly, the financial statements have been prepared on a going concern

All income is recognised In the Statement of Financial Acliwlies once the charity ha8 enlidement to the
funds and any perfoim8nce condibons have been mel, il is probable that the income will be received
and the amount can be measured reliably.
Income from government and other grants, thether capital or revenue, is recognised when the Gharity
has entitlement lo the funds, any performance conditions attached lo the grants have been met, it is
probable that the income bwII b8 received and the amount can be measured reliably and is not
deferred.
Income received in advance of the delivery of specific deliverables is deferred until the criteria for
income recognition are met.
The value of Services provided by volunteers are not included.
Expondlture
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the charity lo that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of ewnomic benefits will be
required in selllement and the amount ol the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is
accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregale all cost
related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have
been allocated to activities on a basis consistent ￿th the use of resources.
Allocatlon and apportionment of costs
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and
services for its beneficiaries. 11 inGludes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and
those costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them.
All costs are allocated be￿en the expenditure categories of the Statement of Financial Activities on a
basis designed to reflect the use of the resource. Costs relating to a particular activity are allocated
directly and general costs are apportioned on an appropriate basis e.g. per capita or eslimaled usage.
Governance costs include those Gost¥ ossociated wth meeting the consliluts'onal and statutory
reqU1￿MentS of the charity and include audit fees and accounting Gosts

contractual provisions of the instrument.

the assets of the Charity after deducting all of its liabilities.
