|||||||||classes on Tuesdays<br>for sisters, to meet the||
|||||||||demand.||
|||||||||Maktab||
|||||||||Maktab is the bedrock of a Muslim||
|||||||||community<br>and instils<br>all the tools and||
|||||||||ttributes<br>required<br>for a prosperous<br>future.||
|||||||||he As-Suffa maktab is for children||
|||||||||between<br>the ages of5-12to learn how to||
|||||||||read the Quran.||
|||||||||eekend Courses||
|||||||||he weekend courses offer an intensive||
|||||||||tudy option for those who cannot commit||
|||||||||he time and/or<br>would<br>like to increase their||
|||||||||knowledge<br>on a particular topic.||
|||||||||Online course||
|||||||||Due to the pandemic,<br>all ofour courses||
|||||||||moved to our online portal. This attracted|a|
|||||||||new wider audience. We have invested<br>in a||
|||||||||tudio which has been purpose<br>built.||
|||||||||Homeless||
|||||||||Over 300,000 people<br>in the UK are either||
|||||||||homeless or living<br>in inadequate||
|||||||||ccommodation.<br>94%of homeless<br>people||
|||||||||re unemployed,<br>72% have some sort of||
|||||||||mental<br>health illness and 56% have a long||
|||||||||tanding<br>physical<br>impairment.<br>With such||
|||||||||tartling<br>figures, As-Suffa initiated their first||
|||||||||outreach<br>project to aid the most vulnerable||
|||||||||of our community,<br>with a vision to make a||
|||||||||change.||
|||||||||hat began<br>in 2012 with good intentions||
|||||||||nd a few volunteers<br>handing<br>out warm||
|||||||||drinks and meals to people sleeping<br>rough||
|||||||||on our streets, has by the grace ofAllah,||
|||||||||xpanded<br>nationwide.||
|||||||||Since its inception<br>in 2012, alhamdulillah,||
|||||||||s-Suffa Outreach's<br>Homeless<br>programme||
|||||||||has served<br>in excess of 300,000 hot meals||

|||||||||he As-Suffa Food Bank project was||
|||||||||initiated<br>in 2016and is an extension of||
|||||||||our Homeless<br>project. From our own||
|||||||||experiences<br>offeeding the homeless<br>we||
|||||||||ound that families were visiting the||
|||||||||Homeless<br>provision, as they didn't have||
|||||||||nough food to feed their families and||
|||||||||loved ones. The main objective ofthe||
|||||||||project is to provide emergency<br>weeks<br>orth ofgroceries to service users who||
|||||||||have accommodation<br>but are going||
|||||||||hrough crisis.||
|||||||||Domestic Abuse Counselling||
|||||||||Our Domestic Abuse Counselling||
|||||||||ervice was developed<br>in response to|a|
|||||||||rising need within our community<br>to<br>upport victims ofdomestic abuse.<br>Existing support functions<br>for victims||
|||||||||and survivors<br>ofdomestic abuse,||
|||||||||particularly<br>from the Muslim<br>community,||
|||||||||are either inaccessible<br>or not sensitive||
|||||||||nough ofthe dilemmas<br>faced by||
|||||||||ervice users from this specific context.||
|||||||||e have an average of 10clients per||
|||||||||month who are undergoing<br>counselling.||
|||||||||he pattern of new client referrals and||
