REPORTOF THE TRUSTEES
The Trustees are pleased to present their annual Director's report together with the financlal statements
of the charity for the year ending 30 April 2024.
The financial statements comply with the Charlties Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities..

Governlng Document
The Charity achieved charitable status on 5, October 2004. It is governed by the Constttution adopted on

2 September 2004. A list of trustees serving during the year is set out above.
The Board of Trustees Is accountable for ensuring the Charity's good governance, financial prudence and
solvency. The Trustees must also be sure that legal and human resources responsibilities are met, and that
strategies and policies are consistent with the Charity's overall strategic objectives.
OBJECTIVES AND AIMS
The objective of the Charity is to support young people in mid Cheshire through the promotion of
community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for playing football.

Significant funding continues to come from monthly subscriptions from parents of players.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financi31 statements in
accordance with applicable law and UK Accoijnt Standards IUKGAAPI.
In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to..
Select suitable accounting pollcies and then apply them consistently, observe the methods and
principles in the Charlty SORP
Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent
Prepare the linancial statements on the going concern basis unless it Is inapproprlate to presume
that the charitable company will continue in business
The Trustee5 are responslble for keeplng proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy
at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the
charity and hence for taklng reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THETRUSTEES
I present my report on the accounts for the year ended 30, April 2024.
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER
The charitV'5 trustees are responslble for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider
that an audit is not required for this year lunder Section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Actll
and that an independent examination is required. l am qualified to undertake the examination by being a
qualilied member ol ACCA. Having satislied myself that the charlty is not subject to audlt under company
law and is eligible for independent examination, it is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under
Section 145 of the 2011 Act; to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the
Charity Commission (under Section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act),. and .tO state whether particular matters
have come to my attention.
BASIS OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
My examination was carried out In accordance with the General Directions given by the Charlty
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanatfjons from you as trustees concernSnE any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit,
and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view, and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statements below.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In connection wlth my examination, no matter has come to my attention which glves me reasonable cause
to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance wlth
Section 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006,. and to prepare accounts which accord with the
accounting records, comply wlth the accounting requirements of Sections 394 and 395 of the Companies
Act 2006 and with the methods and principles of the Accounting and ReportinE by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective l January 20151 have
not been rllet,. or to which, in my oplnion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Player numbers continued lo increase during
the reporting period with increased income
as a result. All coaches, new and existing,
continue to have all relevant training and
courses paid for by the club lo ensure they,
and the club, ar6 fully compliant. The club
was awarded the FA's'England Accredited"
status {formerly the 'Charter Standard,
slalusl with a 2-star status. This dropped
from 3 stsrs due to there not being girls
teams represented at specific age groups.

Paid coaches continue to be ulilised to help
teams and lo further develop the players and
volunteèr coaches within the club.
Membership of the Junior Football Club
provides children with free entry lo Witlon
Albion Football Club senior fixtures. This
encourages children and parents to walch
football in the Community to support a local
football leam. Each junior team has the
opportunity to provide ball persons for the
senior fixtures. The club subsidises two
season tickets for each team's management
to attend the games.

from the Wildcats sessions to encourage
irls to lake u
football.

period of activity 1. May 2023 to 30 April
2024. The bank account funds were
sufficient for this planned activity and remain
so for next year's planned activities. A Gift
Aid claim of £27233 was made during this

existing coaches, kit renewal (each team is
on a 2-year kit cycle). equipment and hire of
