Initially, we were able lo cA)ntinue working towards our goal of estab]ishin8 an end of life
unit for the Great yarmo￿ aod Wavery are& Healthy talks t￿)k place
with various llltettst￿ parties with the aim of working collat#)ratively to provide just
such a facijity, however this proved a most difficult year for everyone.
Until the owt of COVID 19 with of the tnL*es I had cmtinueJ with
national work on many projects regarding of life care. Two of tbese being the
National Palliative a￿1 End of Life Care applied research collabor￿Ve and LABI
which is the 41cve.1￿1, rr.fiDpmeDt., and acceptability of an ojucational intervention
for informal carers of patients with breathlessness in advanced disease. Both of these will
reSea￿h issues in the GTrat Yarn￿uth and Waveney area A8wn all of this work eDabled
m¢ to inform Tn￿le￿ of aff￿7￿￿ CTKI of life. rarr. Jero￿ Ihr. f&HVrtry as
well &8 lo¢ally.
Whilst I was continuing with l¥)spital invi4)￿4 WXI￿* Fmgland with "FTrth F.yeA"
unfortUDately like many initiatives across the county these were put on I￿]d because of
the ￿$tridiOnS in place due to the pandemic. This also impacted OD meetings which
were taking placc with various local tThlics, regarding talks to establish a way fonvard
with the provision of end of life care beds. These meetings be put on hold until
restrictions were litled and it w&8 safe to ￿Sume talks. Many of the national initiatives
moved to online 7AY)m meeting4 although not the best way to conduct a mttting it did
mean thal very imwrlant work could conlinue.
We pursued fimd rnising initiatlves liaiseAI with the public and saw our charity shop
tknive, sadly thougb the shop whicb was by now well established also had to close.

Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
