1.19 | discuss the construction of the cancer centre. Discussions with Kenyan Trustees and the chair also spent some time in Kenya arranging local support from the authorities. The centre was registered as a community based organisation and approved by the Kenyan authority. The building centre is still under construction and hope to be open in 2024. The charity has received monthly donation from January to December 2022 to the sum of £55,242. Progress was made with start of the construction of a cancer centre. The charity has partnered with breast cancer care team in Southmead hospital in Bristol and Conturve company in Manchester who donate surgical bras and prothesis for breast cancer patients in Embu, Kenya. Effective systems have been put in place to transfer money when necessary. |

Para 1.38 | One grant from UK trusts has been applied for but was unsuccessful due to the centre being too new. Once the centre is opened, we shall apply to trusts and foundations to support the next phase of the building. We are grateful for the many hours' volunteers have spent fundraising and promoting the charity. Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise we would not have been able to achieve so much. |
