This yearwe allocated £50,400 to the Form Vote (up from £36,000 in 2022).
In 2023124 we received 48 successful proposals from the staff and pupils at the school. 38 children

presented, many very personal and emotional. Also 11 members OF staff proposed charitie5 that
fitted within our remit to donate to chaTities supportin8 children and families in need locally,
nationally or internationally. The number OE staff proposals came down from 26 so we were able to
increase the grant amount for each Proposal from £500 to £lOOO.
Finally, over 30 children from A Block were awarded a Young Philanthropist Award for their
continiious support c)f the Sale and working at the Salo for every yeaT they have attendod the Prep

May 2024.
It has been a privilege to hear all the presentations and enable the children and staff to offer support
to all the charities.
As in other years the Sale has endeavoured to contribute partly or wholly towards a school bursary

Income recognition
All incoming resources are included in the Statement of Finanaal Activities (SOFA) when
the charity is legally entitled to the income aftei any performance conditions have been met,
the amount can be measured reliably and it is probable that the income will be received. For
donations to be recognised the chaTjty will have been notified of the amounts and the

time in line with the SORP {FRS 102).
Expenditure recognition
All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings
that aggregate all costs related to the cate80ry. Expenditure is recognised where there is a

Irrecoverable VA T is charged as an expense against the activity for which expenditure arose.
Grants payable to third parties are within the charitable objectives. Where unconditional

Going concern
The financial Statements have been prepared on a going concem basis as the trustees believe
that no material uncertainties exist. The trustees have considered the level of Funds held and
the expected level of income and expenditure for 12 months from authorising these financial
statements. The budgeted income and expenditure is sufficient with the level of ieseTves
