contained in the Charity Commission's general guKlance on public benefrt when reviewing our aims and
objectives and in ptannlng our firture activibas.

Achlevements and perforn)ance
Income from the portfolio of investrnent properties held up well and in addition the charity received
donations which maintained total income for the year. The Trust continues to review its portfolio Of
Investment properties with a view to optimising the return it makes. The current levels of income allow
only limited levels of grants to be made in furtherance of the charity's objectives. The Trusys long temi
alm Is to increase tha levelg of retum on investments to allow more substantial granls to be Made.
Flnanclal revlew
Total revenue for the year vrfas £131,937 (2024: £134,978,) comprising. in the main. propety rental of
£91,304 (2024: £69,478). Total expenditure forthe year was £106,480 (2024: £155.437) which included
expenditure to repair and maintain the charivs properties.
The trustees have not thoughl it necessary or desirable to procure a fresh valuation of the Trusvs
portfolio of the charity's properties, whrch al the balance sheet date is £1.6rn (2023: £1.6m>.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial stalements of The Little GKlding Trust Limited
{Yhe charity,) for the year ended 31 March 2025.
Responslbilitios and basls of report
As the trustees of the cornpany (and also ts directors for the purposes of company law), you are
responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordan￿ with the requirements of the
Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 ACV).
Having satIsf￿d myself that the accounts of the company are nol required to be audtied under Part 16
of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of
the charity's accounts as catrted out undef section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 (Xhe 2011 Act,). In
rying out my examination I have folkywed the Directions given by the Ch￿Sty Commi&8ion under
section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

The charity is a public benefit entity and a private company limited by guarantee, registered in
England and Wales and a registered charity in England and Wales. The address of the registered
office Is 23 Cottlngham Way, Thrapston, Northants, NN14 4PL.
Statement of compliance
These financial statements have been p￿pared in compllance wlth FRS 102, 'The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reportlng Standard applicable in the UK and.Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (Charities
SORP (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006.
Accounting policies

The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the
revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured at fair
value through income or expenditure.

There are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue a8 a going concem.

Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees to further any of the

commitment.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure declared by the donor or through
the terms of an appeal. and fall into one of two sukKlasses: restricted income funds or endowm8nt

All Incoming resources are included in the statement of financial actmties when entbtlement has
passed to the charity; it is probable that the economlc benefits associated with the transaction will
flow to the charity and the amount can be reliably measured. The following specific policies are
applied to particular categories of income..
income from donations or grants is recognised when there is evidence of entltlement to the
gift, receipt is probable. and its amount can be measured reliably.
legacy income is recognised when receipt is probable. arKI entitlement is established.
Income from donated goods is measured at the fair value of the goods unless this is
impractical to measure rellably, In which case the value is derlved from the cost to the donor
or the estimated resale value. Donated facilities and serrftces are recognised in the a¢¢ounts
when received if the value can be reliably measured. No amounts are included for the
contribution of general volunteers.
