The overall aims of the Charity is THE PROCLAMATION AND FURTHERANCE OF THE GOSPEL OF GOD CONCERNING HIS SON JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND THE PREACHING AND TEACHING OF THE WORD OF GOD IN THURCROFT BY THE THURCROFT CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP. This aim is enhanced by a commitment of the Charity to THE FURTHERANCE OF THE CHARITABLE RELIGIOUS WORK OF THE THURCROFT CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP IN THURCROFT (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE FELLOWSHIP")

Pastors Report year April 2023 – March 2024

We want to update the church members in this brief annual general meeting. We are so grateful to God for his blessings and favour over us as a church.

Church

We have seen people baptised and received new members into the life of the church. The average church attendance each Sunday remains around 35.

Our children’s programme is developing with a number of children attending Kids activities on a Sunday Morning. Our midweek groups and prayer meetings continue to move forward.

Community

We continue to have a strong and influential role within the wider community partnering with Willows School to deliver a high-quality Foodbank on a Wednesdays. The Wednesday coffee morning continues to meet each week with visitors from the community calling in on a regular basis.

We continue to have a strong evangelistic focus with street work and Love Thurcroft events happening throughout the year We are grateful to Acorn Café and Tea rooms for hosting our Men’s breakfast

Leadership

As a church we decided to release Danny one day a month to allow him to focus on some key tasks within his Role as Church Pastor. We have a strong core team working alongside Danny and we are looking to strengthen the core team, over the coming year

Practical

The maintenance of the building and the upgrading has continued through this period– with major developments like renewing the car park surface, purchasing blinds, all in progress or planned.

Restoration Church

We continue to allow our friends from the Restoration Church to meet on a Sunday afternoon in the building and there is a good and healthy relationship between the two churches

Vision

We believe that the Church will continue to grow in its influence in the Village and beyond. We are aiming to see over 50 people attending each Sunday and strengthen different aspects of the Ministry including our Youth and Children work.

We are so grateful to God for his faithfulness and also the willingness of the people to continue to serve and invest into the life of the

Independent Examiners Report to the Trustees.

for the year ended 31 March 2024

To the Trustees.

I report on the Financial Statements of the Church for the year ended 31[st] March 2024 which are set out in the separate documents dated 3 Januart 2025

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011, “the 2011 Act”, and that an independent examination is needed.

Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for independent examination, it is my responsibility to:

Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

To follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiner’s report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanation s from you the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

To keep accounting records in accordance with section 386 of the companies Act 2006; and

To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, comply with the Charities Act 2011 and the SORP (FRS102) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2015.

have not been met; or

To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
