January 2023

_In The Name Of Allah (God), Most Gracious, Most Merciful_

All praise is due to Allah, and Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), his family and noble companions.

In 2022, the mosque had reinstated our usual programmes and services following two years of Covid-19 restrictions. The trust has continued to build upon the success of previous years by maintaining and increasing its services to the community. The Management Committee has also made significant progress with the Funeral and the Urban living development at the former mosque building. Our new funeral service project has been completed with a dedicated family viewing quiet space. In the interest in looking after the local community, the Mosque continued as previous years to facilities the with Covid and winter flu vaccinations.

In November 2022, the Board of Trustees with an independent panel oversaw the election of a new management committee and welcome the new welcomed a new chair, Mr Koddus Ali and members onto our management committee.

Later in November two long serving Board members resigned due to ill health. We thank both Dr A Rahman and Mr Muhammed Abdul Hye for their sincere service. May Allah (swt) reward them all abundantly all their efforts and contribution to society.

May Allah rewards the devotion and dedicated commitments of the Management Committee past and present, the generosity of the donors, the hard and tireless work of all the volunteers and staff and continued support from the Muslim community of Swansea.

Access and Entrance of Funeral Service

Family Viewing Room

## Funeral Service Project

Alhamdulillah despite all the COVID-19 challenges, we have completed the funeral project!

Finished office/reception area for the ~~f~~ uneral service. The community will be able to enquire about and access funeral services

The family viewing room is also complete. The viewing room will be complemented with furniture for families to be able to spend quiet time with their loved ones.

Spacious Washroom

Cold Storage Facility

## Funeral Service Project

New washroom to wash the deceased in a spacious and tailored facility. Families can now be involved in the washing of the deceased in the new area

Created a cold area (in-house morgue facility), this provides the community a full funeral service. We can now keep the deceased at the same facility rather than hire externally. Reducing the need to ~~transpor~~ t the deceased to different locations

The funeral facility has a large and spacious indoor garage area which will house the hearse and comfortably transport coffins when required

May Allah bless and reward everyone for their support. May this be a continuous sadaqah jariya for all of us
