Comments on the accounts arp below. Recelpts T¢>tsl recelpts in the year were £36,383, an Intrease of 31% on the prevlousyear as we werè able to hold the Cultural Weekend for the fir5ttirne in three year& The lar8est part of this was fundralsln8 for our Guatsmalan charlties, whlch accounted for £21014, through a combination of regular donatlon5 and specifTc fundrasln8 campaigns. Re8ular donatlons totèlled £13.169, including Gift Aid, and fell by 7%. Specific fundraisSng campal8ns ralsed a further £6,904, mostly from the Spedal Fuftdralslng campalgn. The comparable figure last year for speclfk ¢ampal8ns was £8,754, largely from the Indepèndence Fundraislng InI￿atIVe. As referred to above. thè 2022 Cultural Weekend was held In Malvem In Aprll and wasvery successful. Recelpts were £11,290 and after all costs wwe taken Into Kcount we rnade a small surplus. The balance of receipts came from membershlp subscrlptlons and the annual GFA calendar whl¢h was agaln very well recelved and made a profit of £727. Overthe last 20 years the GFA has now sent close to É370.0(J) to organlsatlon5 In Guatemala and we are proud to have made dIffere￿e to the lives of many Guatemalan people. Bursary and Oasls Funds The GFA has Set up two Bursary Fund5 to support young adopteestravelling back to Guatemala and attendlng GFA event5 Sn the UK. Two travel bursariès were pald In the yeaT and at 31 Augustthe Travel Bursary stood at £4,894 and the Event Bursary at £519. In addition we hold a total of £437 from the money donated followinB the c105ure of OASIS. which Is used to fund talks and activities on Inter•country adoptlon.
