I have coMple￿d my examination. I confirni that no material matters have come to my attention in conneccion with the
exitninat40n which gives me cause to believe that in. any material respecL
the accouncing records were not kept in accordance with settion 130 of the Charities Acc or
the accounts did not accord with the aceounting records,. or
the accounts did not comply with the applieable requirements concerning the form and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Report51 Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
¢ha¢ the accounts give a 'true and fair, View which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examinatyon.

Trustees are appointed by the Execuuve Committee. The Committee is eletted by the members at the Annual General
Meeting.
The objects of the Society
As a charity, the objetts of the Society are to educate the public in the drdmacic and operatic arts and to further the
development of the public appreciation and taste in the said art5.

The main actlwty has been to stage show5 Ih the Queen's H￿1. Cr2nbrook Members are Invited to audition 2nd tske part

production. hjl perfornnnces are open to 3ny member of the publit to attend and are soged by a 12rge team ol local
volunteers embracing many dlfferent 5k11 Is 2nd age groups. The Trustee5 have complied w￿h the duty in Section 17151 of
the Charities Act 101 I to have regard 10 the public benellt guidance pui4tshed by the Charity Commlsslon.

Ma￿￿£ had a challehge to produce 3111023 shows our5eW we were extrem* ￿tast0 to be able to return to normal
service in 2024 with our usual selettlon of play, musical and pantomime. It was also a welcome relief to see that all these
production5 at le25t broke even. wlth 50me helping to boost our toffer5 further.

No problem wlth the Autumn muslc31, however, a5 "Addams Family - The M¢J51cdl" directed by Annle Hatther was
ImmedlateFy 1dem￿fiable and we had good audiences lor atl ol the perforniante5. Agaln, striking s(Oised st2ging. t05t￿MeS.
makeup and use of puppets las well 75 a remote-controlled hand that could even swor&lence.) complemented the strong
acting and singng performhnte5 on stage to provtde a memorable nlght lor 311 that came to see It

box-offite re¢ord5 and set ourselves up well for the next in the series.
Our collaboraflon wlth the Queen's Hall and Cratsbrook School contlnues to Improve and we have been able to help more
thls year wlth 51gnrficant donations from the Dennls Russell legacy to buy proper stage extensions and equipment for the
Perforniing Arts departrnenL
Our membership has ag3in staye41 retatfvety consistenl both performers and hdpers b2ck-st2ge and FronE of H0ts5e. Given
the itinerant nature of AmDram these days. this is a gotsd re5vIL
The Income Irom the Investments we made last year from the Dennis Russell Legacy enable us to cover our fixed oper4tlng
costs that are not linked to produciions. including rontsl of Hishinghurst and the Gray Room, as well as professional lees
and insurance, whith Is a great benefit in relation to other 50cieues. Apart from the dona￿On Identrfied above to Cranbrook
Sthool we have 3150 51JppofLed the creatlve communiw around Cranbrook Ènd our own members in upskn"Iling through
attendance at NODA courses.

we are in i strong financial POSI￿On but It remains to be seen how effecuvely we can tske adydntage of th[5.

The policy is to keep the cost of one major perfornnnce in reserve, so a5 w prowde yinst a box office failure In
additlon. a reserve 01 £12.000 is kept to cover the rental cost ol Ihe costumè store.
