ThetrusteeswhoarealsodirectorsofthecharityforthepurposesoftheCompaniesAct2006,present their
reportwiththefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended28February2025.Thetrustees have
adoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommended Practice
applicableto charitiespreparingtheiraccountsin accordancewith the FinancialReportingStandardapplicable in
the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
ISADisasocietyofpeople(fromanydisciplineorcountry)whoareactiveinthefieldofaffective disorders
research in a caring or a professional capacity or advocacy.
TheISADexiststopromoteresearchintoaffectivedisordersthroughallrelevantscientificdisciplines, including
genetics,neuroscienceandthesocialandbehaviouralsciences.Inter-disciplinaryresearchapproaches are
particularly highly valued by the society.
Activities Review
ISAD Dubai 2024
ISAD was invited to attend the Dubai Masterclass in December 2024 and presented a symposium
ISAD London 2025: Mapping the Future of Affective Disorder Treatments
TheISAD2025RegionalMeeting,hostedbytheCentreforAffectiveDisorders(CfAD)tookplaceatthe ORTUS
event venue 7&8th November 2025.
TheScientificProgrammeincludedstimulatingtalksandinteractivesessionsbyleadingexpertsandearly career
researchers,reflectingthewidespectrumofresearchinaffectivedisorders,withafocuson optimisation,
innovation, and personalisation of treatments.

ISAD Biennial Conference Series
Our next conference venue will be announced shortly.

Responsibilities and basis of report
Asthecharity'strusteesoftheCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesofcompanylaw)you are
responsibleforthe preparationof the accountsin accordancewiththe requirementsof the CompaniesAct 2006
('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16of the
2006Actandareeligibleforindependentexamination,Ireportinrespectofmyexaminationofyour charity's
accountsascarriedoutunderSection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').Incarryingout my
examinationI have followedthe Directionsgiven by the CharityCommissionunder Section145(5)(b) of the 2011

Independent examiner's statement
I havecompletedmyexamination.I confirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
Ihavenoconcernsandhavecomeacrossnoothermattersinconnectionwiththeexaminationto which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102, have
beenpreparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingby Charities:
StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordance with
theFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective 1
January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableinthe UK
and Republicof Ireland'and the CompaniesAct 2006.The financialstatementshavebeen prepared under
the historical cost convention.
Income
AllincomeisrecognisedintheStatementofFinancialActivitiesoncethecharityhasentitlementto the
funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligation committing
thecharitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequired in
settlementand the amountof the obligationcan be measuredreliably.Expenditureis accountedfor on an
accrualsbasisandhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateallcostrelatedtothe category.
Wherecostscannotbe directlyattributedtoparticularheadingstheyhavebeenallocatedtoactivities on
a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Tangible fixed assets
Depreciationisprovidedatthefollowingannualratesinordertowriteoffeachassetoverits estimated
useful life.
Fixtures and fittings- 25% on reducing balance
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestrictedfundscanbeusedinaccordancewiththecharitableobjectivesatthediscretionof the
trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthe charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
