**Objects:** 1.  TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY OF SOUTHALL AND SURROUNDING AREAS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY2.  TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND GOOD RACE RELATIONS BY CO-ORDINATING, ORGANISING AND PROVIDING FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES SPECIFICALLY TARGETED AT ETHNIC AND OTHER MINORITY GROUPS IN THE COMMUNITY IN SOUTHALL AND SURROUNDING AREAS WHICH ENABLE THEM TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPACITY AND SKILLS, SO THAT THEY MAY BE EQUIPPED TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.

**Activities:** -Operating a community resource centre for disadvantaged community organisations in Southall and developing local community cohesion work- Providing hot desks, meeting space, fundraising assistance, use of postal address, training etc to community groups-Involvement in local or sub-regional VCS partnerships -empowering and informing residents and community groups about local issues
