The DuckliYLgs I)IKE SLI 1001.. Chairman< Report AGM 0411012023 Good Evening. I'd like to welcome all the parents & children back to Ducklings, for what looks set to be, another challenging and rewarding year for all. This has been my 5th full year as volunteer Chairman of the setting. I'd like to again open by passing praise to the staff of Ducklings over the last 12 months. It's been another eventful and positive 12 months. The end of the last teaching year we all said goodbye to Sharon, who was a remarkable member of the team and a great support to Michelle. Whilst Chickerell continues to see it's boom in population, occupancy levels at the setting are very high, which is also very positive to see, especially as it's in a position that's often more challenging for parents to get tol Again, all credit to the team. Word of mouth and a strong reputation is being heard around the village. Thanks also to the extended committee, who always offer up their time and energy to support the setting. Without the help of the parents, the setting can't function. So thank youl Support from parents, fundraisers and the local community will be increasingly important to Ducklings in the coming years, as settings up and down the country are feeling the strain of increased running costs. We need as much sUPPOrt as we can getl Onwards and Upwards! Chris Newman- Chairman
