||||||The long-term<br>vision is to provide a self sustainable<br>solution to deliver|
||||||care for street children<br>and to work with other children<br>who are at risk to|
||||||prevent them ending<br>up on the streets. The programme<br>has been run by|
||||||Kenyans<br>from the start and there is now have a strong team<br>in Martin|
||||||and Rachel Musyimi<br>who have worked<br>in a Chdistian<br>technical college for|
||||||many years but work for the charity on a voluntary<br>basis. Also, a full-time|
||||||resident<br>worker, Mutunga,<br>who has experience ofworking<br>with street|

Over the last<br>five years we have improved<br>the facilities.<br>All the rooms have concrete<br>floors and the school room is well equipped<br>with desks. There is running<br>water, separate shower and toilet facilities for girls and boys, and<br>electricity which has made lighting safer and improved<br>conditions for the<br>children to do their homework.<br>Vegetables<br>are grown on the land.|

||||||A Memorandum<br>of Understanding<br>was signed<br>in December 2017|
||||||between the charity,<br>Hand<br>in Hand and Briken, their operating<br>partner<br>in|
||||||Kenya. Formal planning<br>ofthe project began<br>in.This project is intended<br>to|
||||||release an income to support the charity<br>into the future. Deployment<br>of|
||||||that income<br>will be planned<br>while the building<br>project progresses<br>on the|
||||||Dagoretti Corner site.|
||||||Planning<br>ofthe development<br>continued<br>during 2019and 2020 but start of|
||||||construction<br>awaits the resolution<br>ofa boundary<br>dispute<br>initiated<br>by the|
||||||railway company<br>which owners<br>land adjacent to the charity property.<br>This|
||||||dispute was still progressing<br>through<br>the courts at the end ofthe year.|
