Despite the continuing challenges concerning retail on a national level, we have seen an upward turn in sales in the second half of the year. Our pop-up shops have been more successful and more numerous than in previous years. We are providing bi-monthly pop-ups alternately at King's Lynn and Bury St. Edmunds, which are proving successful and well attended. Our two shop managers are working the same allocated days each week. As both managers are present together on a Wednesday, and extra volunteers are also available, this arrangement has facilitated regular pop-up shop opportunities. We have welcomed a new trustee- Peter Andrews who is also volunteering in the shop. He has a wealth of retail experience that is being drawn upon. Our partnership with Love Dereham and DBC has served all parties well. We enjoy the enriching atmosphere of the community coming in to use the fridge whilst our customers affirm the benefits of witnessing in this way to our locality. DBC and Love Dereham continue to come to us first for quotes and custom. The Speaking Volumes scheme continues to bring in extra income. We are advertising this scheme to our local community through the contact5 we make in the shop, at pop-up shops, and through our newsletters. We have become affiliated with Gresham's through booksho which, if successful, should generate some extra income both for Gresham's and ourselves. .or
